Compound bow - A compound bow is a modern bow that has pulleys or cams at the end of each limb through which the bow string passes. As the bow is pulled back (drawn) the pulleys or cams turn which, in turn, reduce the amount of force needed to completely draw the bow.
Reflex bow - A reflex bow is a bow (often made entirely of wood)that can be easily characterized by the curved limbs bent away from the shooter (Compound bow may have these limbs but are non functional). Reflex Bow when unstrung flexes its entire self away from the archer, like a backwards "C" creating a greater force with which to fire an arrow at a faster speed without adding significantly to the drawing weight or the physical mass of the bow.
Recurve bow - A recurve bow is a bow that, in contrast to the simple bow longbow, has tips that curve away from the archer when the bow is held in shooting position. The technical difference between a recurve and other bows is that when strung, the string touches the limbs of a recurve bow, and only touches the tips of other types.
E-Bow - The E-Bow (brand name or E-bow, for "Electronic bow" or Energy Bow) is a hand-held, battery-powered electronic device for playing the electric guitar. Instead of having the strings hit by the fingers or a pick, they are moved by the electromagnetic field created by the device, producing a sound reminiscent of using a bow on the strings.
